Sultan Gardens Resort is a multi-award-winning eco-friendly destination located in Shark’s Bay between Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport and the city center. The resort stretches along 220 meters of private beach and offers 520 rooms and suites.

The problem
The resort needed fast, reliable, and secure connectivity across its entire property. Its old infrastructure combined aging D-Link and Aruba equipment, with weak and inconsistent wireless coverage that made Internet access unreliable for guests and staff.
The lack of VLAN segmentation complicated traffic management and security between administration, guest services, and operations. Many switches did not support PoE, making it more complex to add equipment and increasing installation and maintenance costs.
The resort therefore needed to modernize its network, improve wired and wireless performance, and provide a consistent connectivity experience throughout the property. GDMS Networking’s centralized management and interface were key factors in choosing Grandstream.
Provided by Power SMTP
Founded in 2017, Power SMTP provides IT solutions across several sectors, including software development, IT consulting, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. Its approach focuses on secure, efficient, and scalable solutions tailored to its clients’ needs.
The need
Complete network solution: Sultan Gardens was looking for an end-to-end solution for wired and wireless connections from a single provider. Grandstream offered the switches and Wi-Fi 6 access points required.
Performance and stability: the network had to handle a high density of users and provide a fast, stable connection in all areas of the resort.
Centralized management: GDMS Networking replaced the fragmented management of multiple brands and simplified the configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of more than 750 access points.
Cost control: enterprise-grade features, free cloud management, and hardware pricing provided high value without sacrificing reliability.
Scalability: the resort needed to be able to add access points and switches as it grew.
Reputation and support: Grandstream’s reliability, experience in hospitality, support, and documentation strengthened confidence in the deployment.

Why Grandstream
Power SMTP compared Grandstream with Aruba and TP-Link. Grandstream was selected for its cost, robust features, and free cloud management platform. The combination of professional switches and Wi-Fi 6 access points made it possible to deploy and manage a consistent architecture with a single provider.
